Western Wyoming Community College welcomes you to participate in their non-credit course program Enrich Wyoming – Cultivate your passion.
Enrich Wyoming focuses on four categories: Business, Recreation, Personal Development, and Senior Citizens. These categories and courses were chosen to help fill a gap in community needs. Many of the new classes will work in tandem with the College’s credit programs.
Enrich Wyoming - Western's non-credit program will no longer be accepting Senior Waivers. All participants will be responsible to pay the full course fee.

BUSINESS

Course Description:
Join Western for a hike followed by a beautiful Wyoming sunset this spring semester!
This hiking course is designed for individuals with an existing background in hiking
and the hike is rated at an intermediate to more difficult level.
Located in Sweetwater County in the Firehole Canyon area, the hike will be around
3-4 hours and students should expect to be hiking for about 5-7 miles. In addition,
this is designed to be an interactive course while out on the trails and students
will have the opportunity to learn about topics such as hiking safety, gear lists,
and what to look for on treks.
Over the ankle boots are recommended but be prepared with sturdy shoes, minimum 64
oz of water (1/2 Gallon), suitable sized snack, sunscreen, bug spray, and a small
backpack or hip pack. Dogs are welcome if they are harnessed and kept on a leash.
Bring additional water and a bowl for them. Additional recommended items include:
a brimmed hat for sun, and a rain jacket, just in case. Trekking poles are also recommended
and will be available to borrow through Western Wyoming Community College.
*Please note this course is weather dependent. In the event that it cannot be held on the scheduled date, Western and the instructor will look at alternative options for students that are signed up for this course.

Course Description:
This is an introductory course that teaches the basic fundamentals of dutch oven cooking.
Eating is just half the fun, students will also be choosing their own recipes and
cooking to their own taste throughout this two-week interactive workshop. Students
will be expected to bring supplies such as: dutch oven and food needed for individual
recipes.
This class was created for those who love being in the outdoors, whether that means the mountains, at a state campground, or right in your own backyard.
Students can expect to go over dutch oven cooking dishes such as breads, cakes, pies, casseroles, meat dishes, etc. So be sure to bring your own campfire dutch oven, as well as your appetite!
*Please note this course will be held outside, so students should plan on dressing appropriately for the weather.

Course Description:
You're enrolled in our college tour to Italy, and this supplemental course will prepare
you for our amazing adventure. In this course, Michelle will prepare you for the
tour: what to pack, currency exchange, tour director, transportation, accommodations,
what to expect, FAQs, etc. In addition, you will learn about the destinations, culture
and sites to better prepare you for the real thing. This course will be a great way
to bond before our international travels.

Course Description: This course is designed for the beginning and advanced pottery student. Beginning students will have the course designed to meet their needs in throwing and hand-building through demonstrations and skill building lessons, while advanced students will have studio time to pursue their areas of interest. Students of all levels will engage in critical discussion about craft and artistry with the instructor and their peers. The instructor will be available to provide assistance and feedback to students. This course will have limited capacity for firings, and will focused mainly on construction of vessels to be fired later.

Course Description: This introductory yoga class will teach students body alignment, ways to enhance the
mind-body connection, and deep breathing while developing strength, flexibility, and
balance in a supportive environment. Jessica incorporates mindfulness and yogic philosophy
into her classes in a way that supports mind, body, and soul.
This class is designed for the brand new students and would also be appropriate for
seasoned practitioners wanting to reinforce or return to the basics.

SENIOR CITIZENS
